The temple contains several well preserved polychrome inscriptions. The samples collected here are from the Middle Colonnade, both North and South sections. The best preserved signs are those found on the inside of the architraves, where the level of detail is extremely fine. The best examples are from royal titulary, such as the occurrences of G8 and G16. Most signs follow the canon, but X8, the conical loaf, displays an unusual colour scheme. The base and small triangle are blue but the sides of the large triangle are yellow instead of the usual black or blue. These colours are only found in the corpus in one other occurrence from the tomb of Userhat (TT.56). The significance of this deviation from the canon is unclear, as is the traditional identification of the sign as a conical loaf (see discussion of X1 and X8 in Group X commentaries).
