Mon. 17

Monument : Iunu G4150
Period : Dynasty IV
Reign(s) : Khufu
High Date : 2589
Low Date : 2566
Monument type : Slab stela
Localisation or provenance : Giza
References : PM III, 1, 124; Hildesheim 2145; Smith (1949, 366-382); Der Manuelian (2003, 98-103; plate 25).

Iunu was a son of Khufu. His slab stela is similar in style and content to that of Wepemnefret (Mon. 6). The colours are more faded, but a comparison reveals their adherence to the same Old Kingdom canon.
