Mon. 16

Monument : Nefret-iabet G1225
Period : Dynasty IV
Reign(s) : Khufu
High Date : 2589
Low Date : 2566
Monument type : Slab stela
Localisation or provenance : Giza
References : PM III, 1, 59-60; Louvre E.15591; Smith (1949, 366-382); Der Manuelian (2003, 58-63; plate 11).

Nefret-iabet was a daughter of Khufu. Her slab stela is similar in style and content to that of Wepemnefret (Mon.6). The colours are faded and less distinguishable but a comparison reveals their adherence to the same Old Kingdom canon.
